IDEOLOGICAL DOCTRINE
Mission – creation of an intellectual-ideological platform for Armenians,
a key precondition for their transformation into
the sovereign of the physical territory of Armenia,
the defender of the Armenian identity of the world-scattered nation
and the champion of the global Armenian interest
I. Armenians – without sovereignty over Armenian statehood. Armenians as an ethnic group have passed through all stages of historical development: from a small tribe to an imperial nation. Having reached the highest status of an imperial nation during the Great Armenia era, it fell, as a result of internecine strife and external influence, into a vassal position to changing sovereigns and lost control over the most of Historical Armenia.
II. Armenians lack national aristocracy and an ecosystem to produce leaders – the main reason for the loss of sovereignty, absence of guiding principles and profound confusion among Armenians globally. To identify guideposts and realistic strategies for reaching them, a national aristocracy is required – with unifying political and ideological values. The aristocracy will systematically and institutionally produce leaders, manage, train and develop new generations, create fundamental Armenian institutions and over time transform the ethnic group into a political nation.
III. The “local” Armenians have produced neither an aristocracy, nor an ideology. After seven decades inside the Soviet Union (the Second Republic) and three decades in the nominally independent Republic of Armenia (the Third Republic), the “local” Armenians are stuck in development at the level of “people” (formal territory, language, religion, social and cultural characteristics), and haven’t evolved into the purposeful category of a sovereign nation with a fully-fledged national aristocracy.
IV. The “communal” Armenians have not transformed into a Diaspora. Since extermination and expulsion from Historical Armenia, they have been outside their native base and suffering under threat of extinction and assimilation. The “communal” Armenians have deliberately not been integrated by “local” Armenians to systemically develop the Third Republic. Lacking communal aristocracy and unifying communal institutions, they have not developed consolidating political and ideological values for further evolution and transformation into a single political and ideological unit – the Diaspora.
V. The Third Republic has ceased to exist as an ambitious project for unification, systematisation and realisation of the global potential of Armenians. For over three decades, the immoral and amateurish feudal clan system has been consistently destroying the remnants of Armenian immunity, resulting in the loss of Artsakh and steering whatever is left of Armenia towards inevitable Turkish-Azerbaijani colonisation. This is a consequence of the profound decay of feudal clans and the remnants of their supporters among “local” Armenians, they bear full responsibility for the ruins of the state and the nation.
VI. The current authorities of the Third Republic are in essence collaborationists of external forces interested in eliminating the Armenian Question. This means not just the demise of Armenia as a physical territory, but full control over Armenian identity, its suppression and consequent eradication through integration into the Turkish world. The collaborationists are pursuing a consistent policy, officially restricting the Armenian national history to a story confined to the borders of the remnants of the Third Republic, abandoning the memory of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, suppressing efforts to overcome its consequences, attacking the Armenian Church and granting the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance the right of to control Artsakh and to unhindered use of the remnants of Armenia to advance their regional and global aspirations. Those “communal” Armenians who provide moral, lobbying, informational, financial support to the collaborationists among the “local” Armenians implicitly become accomplices in the destruction of Armenians and their integration into the Turkish universe. They, along with the internal fifth column among “local” Armenians, are entirely responsible for the rapid process of colonisation of the Third Republic and the abolition of the Armenian Question.
VII. Armenian Republic is building a strategy for a long-term fight for decolonisation, formation of national aristocracy and sovereignty in the Armenian world. At the first stage, Armenian Republic aims to analyse, formulate and present qualitatively meaningful thoughts; to create a single platform for uniting Armenians who oppose the colonisation of Armenia, closure of the Armenian Question and assimilation of Armenian identity (meanings, consciousness, history, culture) into the Turkish universe.
VIII. Armenian Republic is the defender of the two key tenets of Armenian identity – historical memory and the Armenian Church as an institution. Historical memory is the entire history of the Armenian people with particular relevance of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 which forced Armenians to leave their multi-millennial ancestral homeland. Importantly, Armenian Republic stands for the process of cleansing the Armenian history of its own and imposed myths, which requires a professional, objective and critical approach. This will allow to analyse our own history without exaggeration, pathos and illusions, to identify not fictional, but real causes of tragic events of the past and present. The Armenian Church as an institution is one of the most important pillars of Armenian identity. This institution is not flawless and, like any other body of national self-determination, needs to be revitalised and reformed. However, it is also important to recognise both the power and the fragility of such an ancient institution, which all alone has carried on its shoulders the remnants of Armenian identity through the most difficult historical periods. To date, there is no other established institution, there is no other guardian of the Armenian spirit. Preserving and strengthening the Armenian Church is a critical condition for building the Armenian political nation and the state of Armenia.
IX. Armenian Republic adheres to the ideology of realism in international relations while shaping and promoting the global Armenian interest and builds its strategy based on the doctrines of this school. This belief comes from a thorough and sober analysis of the past, when the so-called civilised world, while emphasising justice and human rights, shamelessly traded and sacrificed Armenian (and other weak) interests to gain pragmatic and mercantile advantages. This kind of political practice continues to this day. It can be observed in real time how various external forces with the help of internal collaborationists are destroying the remnants of the Armenian state, Armenian history and Armenian identity. Armenian Republic, however, also clearly understands that there are no moral or rational motives for any external forces to defend the Armenian interest and, conversely, Armenian Republic is strongly convinced that various external forces are determined to maximise their benefits from the ongoing bargaining around the remnants of Armenia and Armenian people.
X. The restoration of the Armenian nation as the sovereign of the Armenian statehood is the only way for it to survive – physically, spiritually, culturally, politically, and economically. In this context, participation in the political life of Armenia (the right to elect power and to get elected) is a key attribute of a state and cannot be a natural right for everyone. Citizenship and participation in forming and implementing political decisions should be strictly limited – by age, education, experience, contribution, etc. The government of Armenia should be formed on the basis of meritocracy – the rule by the worthy.
