The mission of the Mkhitar Gosh Pan-Armenian Academy is to train a new national aristocracy – an intellectual and political class that will consciously assume responsibility for the physical and spiritual security of the Armenian ethnic group and the future Armenian nation.
The Armenians as an ethnic group have endured centuries of dispersion, genocide, colonisation, the loss of statehood, and three decades of nominal independence. Without a national aristocracy, without internal institutions capable of reproducing leaders, without a unifying ideology, the Armenian ethnos is doomed to remain a mere ‘people’ and forfeit its spot on the world political map.
For Armenia to develop into a fully-fledged sovereign actor in international politics and fulfil the destiny of the Armenian nation, there must be a national aristocracy with a unified political and ideological foundation, comprising educated, critically minded global Armenians prepared to stand as steadfast guardians of the Armenian heritage. There cannot be neither sovereignty nor long-term national development unless this is achieved.
The Mkhitar Gosh Academy is designed to address precisely this challenge. We bring together the best representatives of the Armenian world as lecturers and students, consolidating the intellectual and symbolic capital of a future Armenian aristocracy. We cultivate the mindset of statesmen – individuals who are able to reflect on reality rationally, comprehend, articulate, and defend the interests of the Armenian state, and wage the struggle for the decolonisation of Armenian consciousness and statehood.
To this end, we are building an intellectual infrastructure for systemic and long-term training of leaders capable of making history, rather than watching others write and rewrite it. We uphold the principle of meritocracy: that is, power, participation in political decisions, as well as the right to lead the country should belong to those who are worthy of it, having earned it through their dedication to serving the nation with their intelligence, hard work, and integrity.
The Mkhitar Gosh Academy is a pan-Armenian educational platform designed to cultivate a new generation of leaders of the Armenian world. The Academy brings together passionary Armenians from around the world who are committed to gaining a deep understanding of Armenian history, critically analysing international processes, and developing strategic thinking – all in the name of serving solely Armenian interests and contributing to the resilience and prosperity of the Armenian world.
Recent years have been a painful testament to how the current feudal-clan systems of governance in Armenia and Spyurk (Armenian communities) are utterly hopeless in overcoming the threats looming over the Armenian world. At the Academy, we are creating a new layer of individuals who think in terms of broad national interests, who are capable of generating new meanings, building sustainable institutions, and leading the majority.
The Mkhitar Gosh Academy:
● provides a solid foundation in political philosophy, Armenian history, and International Relations;
● shapes the worldview of a principled statesman – someone who can think only in terms of Armenian interests;
● unites the future Armenian aristocracy into a single intellectual space;
● creates lasting ties between graduates and supports their initiatives.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, the programme involves one semester lasting 3 months (February–April 2026). Classes are conducted online, three times a week, in the evenings (Yerevan time). The Academy’s instructors are recognised specialists in their fields, distinguished both as scholars and experts, as well as committed state-minded thinkers.
A maximum of 20 of the strongest candidates will be admitted, based on rigorous evaluation of their essay and interview. Upon completion, graduates take an oath on the Ideological Doctrine of the Armenian Republic, committing to living and acting in accordance with its principles. Graduates receive the Seal Ring of the Armenian Republic as a symbol of belonging to the intellectual-ideological group forming the new national aristocracy. The Academy’s Board of Trustees provides comprehensive support to successful graduates in their professional growth, career advancement, academic, civic, and political activities. The merit-based scholarships are awarded to the most promising students as early as during the course of their studies.
