The number of the MPs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is 107, of which 36 represent the so-called ‘opposition’. The average salary of a deputy is 500,000 Armenian drams or 1,200 US dollars. Besides official money, ‘servants of the people’, in established tradition, receive envelopes from their ‘patrons’, as they serve a specific person, not the country and its people. But, let’s leave the envelope fees aside. It is better, with a simple mathematical calculation, to find out the amount of money for which you have to pretend to be a clown, to be Nikol Pashinyan’s ‘boxing punch’, and, most importantly, to legitimise the anti-national pro-Turkish parliament – 43,200 US dollars per month or about 500,000 US dollar per year, multiply by 4 for 4 years (since the 2021 elections) and we get the desired number: about 2 million US dollars.
We understand the sect called ‘Pashinyan’s witnesses’ (also known as the ‘Civil Contract’ party), whose members do not hide their desire to turn the country into a geopolitical brothel (‘Real Armenia’ project). But what are you doing there, pseudo-oppositionists? How can one refuse to recognise Pashinyan’s power, talk about his illegitimacy, call him a criminal and state traitor, and at the same time come to the parliament that he has hijacked, ask him questions with a serious face during his prime minister Q&A sessions, and then go home with conscience intact, knowing that the Turkish collaborationists will make the necessary decisions with their super-majority.
And now about the second echelon of those legitimising Pashinyan and his feudal gang, the Turkish colonisers of Armenia. We are talking about those who, sometimes, speak out against Pashinyan and his policies, however, perhaps because of lack of knowledge, naivety or other subjective reasons, they in fact express weighty support. Recently, despite all our warnings about the nature of the Turkish collaborationist regime and the realities of the world of big politics of the region, Noubar Afeyan came out with a series of statements demonstrating his political inconsistency in prevailing circumstances in and around Armenia.
On one hand, the main undertone is that Armenia’s current course is a direct path to destruction via the ‘Turkish Colony’ transit station. On the other hand, we see the publicity dividends added to the savings bank of legitimisation of Pashinyan and his young janissaries, which are monetised by those same janissaries in meetings, dialogue, and other contacts with unsuspecting and overly naïve prominent visitors. In particular, Noubar Afeyan regularly expresses his willingness to cooperate with Nikol Pasha’s government within the framework of his ‘Afeyan Initiatives for Armenia’ (AIFA) foundation to implement new projects in Armenia. In addition, he confirms the fact of non-public meetings with the current government of Armenia about the return of Armenian prisoners from Azerbaijan.
A logical question arises: isn’t it obvious that any kind of communication with any of Pashinyan’s minions, including Tigran Khachatryan, who, by the way, couldn’t care less about any ‘development programs’ or Armenian prisoners, additionally legitimises the Turkish collaborationists who are not worthy his respect? Naturally, it is the most direct legitimisation. And it is a pity that this is not obvious to influential Armenians of the calibre of Noubar Afeyan. However, we do not lose optimism that the eyes of individuals of this scale will see the objective reality. The main thing is that the recognition and proper definition of priorities, among which the sovereign homeland should be in the first place, do not come too late. We still have one last chance, it’s time to get organised.
