What is the real Armenia? About 29,800 square kilometers, maybe less, but definitely not more. This is the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, who used to reject all sorts of “-isms”, and today already fancies himself the ideologist of the Armenian “people”. He does not covet the laurels for this masterful solution of the Armenian question, patting them over to the entire Armenian nation – they say, otherwise they would support the “Tavush for the Motherland” movement.
Alas, another indolent and therefore unsuccessful attempt of the “opposition” protests played into the hands of the Turkish commandant. Every step that discredits the possibility of the emergence of a true “third power” strengthens the position of Armenia’s enemies inside the country and in Armenian communities around the world. What does the common Armenian see? Hope for change after so many years of hardship. And if one looks closer? How this hope (another “savior”) hands over the keys – not of the “Kingdom”, but of the “Lexus” – to another “traitor”, a man who signed the death warrant of Artsakh Armenians.
So who is really against the real Armenia? Those who pretend that they think it is realistic to preserve an Armenian state on a piece of territory where the Armenian nation was born and shaped. Those who are trying hard to close the last page of Armenian history and those who are helping the Armenian timeservers with their diversionary maneuvers.
Every concession to the current and any other authorities is now measured not by the size of the area, but by the vital function that the “borderline” territories fulfill for the Armenian ethnos. Armenian realism is to survive and win in inhumane conditions, not to amputate one’s own limbs and sacrifice heart and brain with the expectation that the torso will keep moving for another 15 years.
